Darin Au - Lead Guitar

When Darin Au is not playing music, he's thinking/writing/talking about music. Or sports.
Darin holds the following degrees: BA in Music from the University of Redlands (CA), Master of Music in Composition from the University of North Texas, and Professional Diploma from the School of Hard Knocks. Darin is a guitar and music instructor. For details, see 7thfret.com.
Darin's musical influences (in no particular order) are Frank Zappa, Steve Morse, 70's/80's rock, The Shadows, Jeff Beck, my teachers (Harry, Shoji, Terry, Kenton), Paul Hindemith, California, Michael Hedges, Astor Piazzola, my family and friends, Igor Stravinsky, Carlos Santana, Eric Johnson, Richard Wagner, Dusan Bogdanovic, Joe Pass, The Beatles, love, Joaquin Rodrigo, Erik Satie, facing my mortality, Aaron Copland, Joe Satriani, Neal Schon, Charles Ives, Steve Vai, Joe Klein, Texas, Barney Childs, happy things, Oingo Boingo, Al Yankovic, death, Steve Howe, Thick Tubes, God, and everything in-between.

Things Darin likes: puppies, children, ice cream, cruising on the beach at
sunrise/sunset, manual transmission, belly rings, you (aw...).

Things Darin dislikes: puppies, children, melted ice cream, cruising on the beach when it's too hot, automatic transmission, rings in places there shouldn't be rings, you (sometimes).

When/if Darin grows up, he wants to:
Dance like Denny.
Be as smart as Ulu.
Be able to grow facial hair like SteveO.
Look as good as Jane in tight clothes.
Be as handsome as Dave.
And make crowds go crazy like Pat.
