Ulu Scanlan - Rhythm Guitar, Vocals

There's far more to Ulu than a couple of paragraphs on a website, so he offers, “Come to the next gig, hand me a beer, and I'll tell you my life story.” Trouble is, every beer leads in to a different story, and there are so many beers.
Ulu attended Willamette University and excelled on the football field. And in the classroom, . . . umm… his attendance was good. Afterwards (as if that wasn't enough), he went on to earn his PhD from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dr. Scanlan is a Clinical Child Psychologist and works with children with developmental disabilities and their families. When Ulu is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also fills up his free time surfing, playing basketball, working on the house, or recovering from the previous night's activities (see opening comments).
In most versions of his story, Ulu grew up playing along with tapes of Hui Ohana, Gabby, and Olomana, or playing Bob, Steel Pulse, Kotch, Kapena, Butch Helemano, Bruddah Waltah, etc. with friends. “Yes, I'm that old,” says Ulu after naming his influences. (Ulu lists his age as real late 20's)

Ulu has two goals in life. They are
1. Beat out Brad Pitt on the “People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People” list.
2. Eliminate episodes of delusional thinking.
